基本表現と解説

• Silver and gold I have none.
• Silver and gold have I none.

例文はいずれも I have no silver and gold. 「金銀はすこしもない」の意味。目的語の silver and gold を主語の前に置いたときは、形容詞の no を 副詞の none に変える。また主語と動詞を転倒させた二番目の例のほうが最初の例よりも語勢が強い。
