(a) 行て一切を彼に語れ。
(b) 來て一切を我に語れ。
解説
Ｉの如く go, come, try, send 等の Verb の後に用ひたる and は目的又は結果を示す Infinitive の to (= in order to)......と解す可し。
されば
(a) Go and tell him about it.
(b) Come and tell me all about it.
は
(a) Go to tell him all about it.
(b) Come to tell me all about it.
と解す可きものにして to tell は Purpose を示す Infinitive Phrase なり。
II は I の and を省略したるものにして I と同義なり。
但、この and は二個の行爲を結ぶ Conjunction に過ぎずして此語に目的又は結果の意有りと云ふにはあらず、唯前後の文勢より其意を生ずとの謂なり。
猶ほ此處に云ふ and は俗語又は方言に在りては前記以外の Verb にも用ひらる。
