範例
She enumerated books, pictures, rings, jewels, and so on (forth).
彼の女は着物、繪畫、指環、寶石等を列擧せり。

解説
And so on
And so forth
    = And others; and the rest;
      and more besides; and the
      like; and such-like
      ……等、……など。
And so on, and so forth は事物を列擧し來りて自餘のものを省略するに用ひ、通常 Latin 語 et cetera の略なる etc. 若くは &c. は and so forth と讀む。
on, forth は onward, forward(先に、前に)の意也。
