(a) I must tell him at once.
(b) I must tell him, and tell him at once.
(c) I must tell him, and that at once.
(a) 私は直ぐに彼に語らねばならぬ。
(b) 私は彼に語らねばならぬ、直ぐに語らねばならぬ。
(c) 私は彼に語らねばならぬ、而も直ぐに。

解説
　(b) (c) は (a) の強き形にして (b) の and tell him の前の Clause の tell him を強めむが爲に and を用ひて之を反復せるもの、(c) and that の that は tell him の代りに用ひたるものなり。故に斯の如き構文に於ける and that の that は前の Clause 又はその Clause 中の Predicate の全部又は一部を代表するものなり。從て that は Pro-clause 又は Pro-phrase と稱することを得。
　and that は「其上」「加之」「而も」など譯す。
　類例
　(i) I must tell him, and at once too.
      私は彼に語らねばならぬ、而も直ぐに。
　(ii) So I started on my hands and knees, because I could go faster that way, and with more confidence too, and not knock down things.  Mark Twain
