範例
We worked at the ors for fifteen minutes; it seemed to me as many (=fifteen) hours.
十五分間橈を漕いだが、私には十五時間に見えた。

解説
As many= （前と）同じほど多き。
As few = （前と）同じほど少なき。
　　= The same number (of).
    　同数の。

　前の語（数を示す語）の反復を避くる爲めに用ふ。
　次に示す一例は前の語をそのまゝ反復したるものにして後の fifty は之を as many に改むる事を得。

  He rose again, and we each took one of her hands and dragged her along the road. Fifty yards -- they seemed to be fifty (=as many) miles.
