解説
To be......bound.
=To have under obligation.
= To have as a duty.
……せねばならぬ。
……する義務有り。

bethinking myself of 「を思ひて」 bethink には斯く reflexive Pronoun を用ふ。wound up 時計を巻くと同じ意にて忘れぬやうにすること。
（wind up は、この場合、べつにそんなことをする気はないけれど、結局そうしてしまう、という意味。忘れぬようにするとか、感情を引き締めるという意味ではない）
5. "Oh! you are a rum un, you are," replies the old woman, laughing extremely, as in duty bound; "I wish I'd got the gift of the gab like you; see if I'd be up the spout so often then!"

rum un (=one) は queer fellow （可笑しな人）。you are は初の you're を反復したるもの。gab は口の俗語にして轉じて「くだらぬお喋り」の意となる。up the spout (=at the pawn broker's) 質屋へ行く。
