40. 理由を示す「as + 主語 + 述語」
- It was too far to go for me, weak and ill as I was. 「わたしには遠すぎていけなかった。なにしろ弱っていて具合が悪かったから」
§35. から §39. の形はたいていの場合「……だけれども」という譲歩を示すが、「……だから」と理由の意味で用いられることもある。
