範例

He has no clothes to his back.

彼には背部を蔽ふ可き衣服なし。

彼には身體を蔽ふ可き衣服なし。

彼には着す可き衣服なし。


解説

Back = the (whole) body

背部 = (全)身體


背部は衣服を着くる時、充分に蔽はるゝ處なるを以て修辭學上の Synecdoche (提喩)として身體の意に用ひらる。
