37. 譲歩の形 (2) 「副詞 + as / though + 主語 + 述語」

基本表現と解説

• Little though he said about it, Pat really did care for her. 「口にはしなかったけれど、パットはほんとうは彼女のことを気にかけていた」

前項では名詞が先頭にきたが、今回は副詞が先頭に来るパターンである。

But, little as he said, his whole face beamed with pride and pleasure.
