90. collect one's courage とそのバリエーション

基本表現と解説

• Raleigh, finding his fate inevitable, collected all his courage. 「ローリーは運命の避けがたきを知り、渾身の勇を奮い起こせり」

collect one's courage は「勇気を奮い起こす」という意味。courage の代わりに strength, energies などを用いれば「力を奮い起こす」となる。
