223. many a

基本表現と解説

• They met with many a thrilling adventure. 「幾度も戦慄すべき冒険に出会った」
• Many and many a time in my childhood I loitered among the woods. 「幼少の頃、自分は幾度も幾度もその林の中を歩き回った」

many a は many の意。many and many a という形は意味はおなじだが、語勢が強い。
